This article was published on 31-05-2010.
In addition to the previous news flash we’re glad to announce the latest bunkertanker Leonore passed its test trials. The tests on the 10th of May, supervised by technicians of the Transport and Water Management Inspectorate were a great success.
The ships hull finds its origin in Romania and overall completion is done at De Groot shipyard Moerdijk. Novelty are the on deck fire fighting monitors. Advantage of these permanent fixed monitors is the prevention of multiple fire fighting hoses on deck.
The Leonore with Captains Rigard Verhulst and Martin de Winkel will provide its bunker services in the Port of Antwerp. Time chartered by Chemoil Europe b.v. the latest barge will be dedicated for the supply of low- sulphur bunker fuels.
